The Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Ģtv presents the twenty-fifth annual Ģtv Jazz Festival. This Festival will honor two brothers who are alumni of the department: Ralph (’69, ’75) and John Morris (’71, ’73). Admission to the Festival is free and is open to the general public. Seating is general admission.
Four Ģtv Women’s Leadership Awards were presented to six women staff, administrators, and faculty at the Reception to Celebrate Women and the Women’s Leadership Award Ceremony on April 2, 2025. These awards celebrate the outstanding leadership and accomplishments of women employees to advance gender, sexual, and cultural inclusive excellence at Ģtv, in the communities, and in their professions.
The Haven Project at Ģtv will host the annual Take Back the Night event on April 9 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the Ģtv campus. Take Back the Night is designed to raise awareness and support survivors of sexual violence, domestic and dating violence, and stalking.
Butler County Community College (BC3), a member of the PA Community College Consortium Cooperative Agreement (PC4A), is hosting a free cybersecurity conference on April 10 at their main campus in Butler, PA.
Ģtv’s Theater-by-the-Grove and Music Theater, student performance organizations in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance, will present a whimsical production of “Little Women, the Broadway Musical,” April 3–6 in Waller Hall.
Ģtv’s Lively Arts will present The Peking Acrobats for one night only on Friday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. Their performance will take place on the campus of Ģtv in Fisher Auditorium. Tickets are on sale now by phone and online.
Ģtv will celebrate 150 years of excellence and impact during the 2025–26 academic year as it marks its sesquicentennial.
Ģtv’s English Graduate Organization will offer its 2025 Conference, “Landscapes of Language and Literature,” on March 21 and 22. The conference will be offered both in person in Ģtv’s Sprowls Hall and via Zoom. It is free and open to the community.
Ģtv’s College of Health Sciences is sponsoring the first “Run for the Health of It” 5K race on April 5. The event, planned to be held annually, will raise funds to directly support students in the Ģtv College of Health Sciences programs, with a different fundraising focus each year.
“Points of Pride” highlights achievements in academics, athletics, scholarships and grant awards, community services, and other areas.
Ģtv’s Department of History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Religious Studies; the Ģtv Free Speech Project; and the Social Equity and Title IX Office will present “I’m Just a Bill: The Constitution, Executive Orders, and Separation of Powers” on March 17 at 3:30 p.m. in Stouffer Auditorium. The program is free and open to the community.
Ramadan will be observed from February 28 to March 30 this year. Increased awareness and further insight into student life is appreciated.
Classical music once again meets rock music when Ģtv’s String Ensemble, directed by Kaleigh Accord, collaborates with the local rock band, Somebody to Love, for a concert entitled, “Classic Meets Rock 2.” Special guests will be the University Chorus directed by Joseph Stuligross. Also performing will be Ģtv students Aleksander Maschmidt and Braxton Beaulieu as well as Indiana's own Chuck Olson, from The Six. Music from the Rolling Stones, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John and many more will be featured in the concert, which will take place on Tuesday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium on the campus of Ģtv.
The Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics at Ģtv has organized a smoothie sale, a mac and cheese crockpot charity cook-off, and a program with a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer with experience in functional health training to celebrate National Nutrition Month in March.
Members of Ģtv’s Army ROTC program will conduct a training event on Saturday, February 22, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cadets and members of the ROTC faculty will be carrying unloaded weapons, including rifles and machine guns, during this training exercise. The weapons will not have ammunition or blanks.

The late Dr. Patricia Hilliard Robertson, a 1985 graduate of Ģtv and 2000 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, has been honored with the naming of a Cygnus spacecraft. The naming was announced by Northrop Grumman, the company that built the spacecraft.

On Tuesday, November 28 at 7pm in the Indiana Theater in downtown Indiana PA, local electronic musicians Rapid Uncontrolled Disassembly partners with the Ģtv Student Film Association in presenting a series of music videos. Over the course of six songs and six videos we’ll follow a number of characters that stretch into liminal dimensions and experience absurd activity. These realms appear familiar, yet otherworldly. The songs will be performed live and the music videos will be projected on the big screen behind them.
