Parent Checklist for Incoming Student

Academic

  • Review your course schedule available in MyÄ¢¹½tv on the Class Schedule card.
  • after you receive your fall schedule in early August.
  • Complete the Record Release Authorization in your MyÄ¢¹½tv to provide access to your student record to individuals you designate. You will set up a key word and pass phrase and designate individuals who you wish to share access to your academic information.

Financial

  • Complete requirements for any Federal Direct Stafford Loans you've been awarded.
  • Complete the financial terms and conditions on the My Student Information, Data, and Accounts tab in MyÄ¢¹½tv.
  • Parents can apply for a every year and must also complete the if they are credit approved.
  • You can also review if needed, and complete applications.
  • Keep your mailing address up to date through MyÄ¢¹½tv, and check your account regularly, so you don't miss important notifications.

Health and Well-Being

Housing, Residential Living, and Dining

  • Admitted students will receive their move-in information via an email message which is sent to their Ä¢¹½tv email account from the Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining.
  • Check the FAQ list for what to bring to campus.

Safety and Security

  • Complete your Emergency Contact information through MyÄ¢¹½tv on the My Student Information, Data, and Accounts card, using the Missing Student Emergency Contact Information link.

What’s next for your student?

Remind your student to complete placement testing in HAWKS 100 through D2L.

  • Students can access HAWKS 100 typically 48 to 72 hours after they register for orientation.
