The Indiana branch of the AAUW, in partnership with Ģtv's Commission on Women and the Ģtv Women's and Gender Studies program, will host an advocacy and equity training “Start Smart” workshop on Saturday, February 8 from 11:00 a.m. to2:00 p.m. in the Humanities and Social Sciences building, room 114.
Facilitating the workshop will be Melissa Swagger, Ģtv sociology professor and director of Ģtv's Commission on Women.
Start Smart is an interactive workshop designed to give women the skills they need to earn fair compensation. Over the course of her working life, a woman will earn roughly $1 million less than a man—simply because she's a woman. All Ģtv students, women and men, and young professionals in our community are invited to online. There is no admission and refreshments will be provided.
