Black students, faculty, and staff are invited to join a discussion with an Ä¢¹½tv alumni committee that aims to improve the academic success and social experience of Black students at Ä¢¹½tv. Kicking off Homecoming weekend, this Fireside Chat with the Black Experience Alumni Committee will be Thursday, September 30, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Elkin Hall Great Room.
BEAC members hope to learn more about the current Black student experience, the needs of Ä¢¹½tv’s Black students, and the best ways to communicate with this audience.
Open to all Ä¢¹½tv students, faculty, and staff, this event is an opportunity to network with successful Black alumni and to give feedback about Ä¢¹½tv to those who will advocate on Black students’ behalf.
The fireside chat will include light refreshments, a gift card giveaway, and an Ä¢¹½tv swag bag for participants, while supplies last. No registration is required. Wearing Ä¢¹½tv attire to show your pride is strongly encouraged.
This event is hosted by the BEAC and the Ä¢¹½tv Ambassadors, in collaboration with the Office of Alumni and Constituent Engagement and the Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement.
